Most gear lists assume you already own the invisible half of a kit. This one does not. Pick a trip type and a tier, and every group below fills in — including the shoes, the water bottles, the food canister and the trowel that decide whether a first trip is good or miserable. Worn items are totalled separately, because they never sit in your pack.
Compatibility checks read published spec metafields. Where a spec has not been recorded yet, that check stays silent rather than guessing. Food storage rules vary by land manager — always check your permit. Weights are build targets until we have weighed a production sample ourselves.
